This is a plain-language summary for our beta. It is not legal advice. BAKD AI is in private beta, so these terms will evolve as the product matures.
1. Acceptance
These terms apply when you visit bakd.my, join the waitlist, or use the BAKD AI private-beta workspace ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using BAKD on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to bind that organisation to this agreement.
2. Private beta and "as is" service
BAKD is an early-stage product in private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We may rate-limit usage, pause workspaces, or end the beta program. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at hello@bakd.my if you think your account has been compromised. Beta accounts are tied to a specific organisation; please do not share them.
4. Your content
"Your Content" means anything you or your teammates upload, type, or generate inside your BAKD workspace, including documents in the knowledge base, prompts, drafts, approvals, and audit-log entries.
- You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display it so we can run the Service for you.
- You confirm you have the rights needed to upload and process Your Content, and that it does not break any law or third-party rights.
- No training by default. We do not use Your Content to train foundation models. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal or to harm other people.
- Upload content you do not have rights to, or material that is unlawful, defamatory, or designed to deceive.
- Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or scrape the Service, probe its security, or interfere with other users' workspaces.
- Use BAKD to generate or distribute spam, malware, harassment, or content that exploits minors.
- Rely on AI outputs for prohibited or high-risk decisions (for example legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical matters) without qualified human review.
6. AI outputs
BAKD generates drafts, summaries, and other AI outputs based on Your Content and third-party models. These outputs can be wrong, out of date, or biased. Always review them with a human before sending, publishing, or acting on them externally. BAKD is a productivity tool, not a substitute for professional advice in regulated areas (law, medicine, finance, taxation, and so on).
7. Third-party services
BAKD relies on third-party infrastructure and AI providers (such as AWS and the model providers behind AWS Bedrock). When you connect external tools (CRM, email, storage), those services have their own terms and you are responsible for following them.
8. Intellectual property
We keep all rights in the BAKD platform, including the software, design, brand, and documentation. We are not granting you any rights in the platform beyond the right to use the Service in line with these terms. Feedback you send us about the Service may be used to improve BAKD without any obligation back to you.
9. Fees
The private beta is currently offered without charge. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you will need to agree to the new commercial terms before they apply to your workspace.
10. Suspension and termination
You can leave BAKD at any time by emailing hello@bakd.my. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we have to for legal or security reasons, or if we discontinue a feature or the beta. On termination, we will help you export or delete Your Content within a reasonable window.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BAKD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty Malaysian ringgit (RM50) if no fees were paid.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims that arise out of Your Content or your misuse of the Service, including breach of these terms or third-party rights.
13. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change materially affects you, we will let beta users know directly. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Kuala Lumpur, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
